Are you in contact with your clients?
Keeping in contact with your clients is important even though we cannot see them, I am sure they are missing you as much as you are missing them during lockdown.
Think of ways you can still help them remotely. Do you have a Facebook Page for your business? If so, have you invited your clients to ‘Like’ your page? Or even if you just have your personal page, are your clients also Facebook Friends?
Why not post some helpful hints about what your clients can do to help themselves in the absence of your massage treatments?
Post some short videos of self-massage techniques e.g.
Facial massage explaining pressure points, the benefits of stimulating those points and how it relaxes the muscles and rejuvenates the skin.
Hand and arm massage, how it can help relieve pain from certain conditions or just the relaxation benefits it can bring.
Simple stretches your clients can do for specific reasons, e.g. hamstring stretch, foam roller on the calves etc
Make-up tutorials
Needless to say, only advise on those areas you are qualified and insured for but it will keep you in your clients’ minds eye and I am sure they will be extremely grateful. It also keeps open the line of communication if you invite them to comment.
It doesn’t have to be Facebook, it can be via a newsletter if you usually send those out, Instagram or whatever platform you use.
it will also help increase your reputation as a caring thoughtful therapist!
Take care,
p.s. And don’t forget to practise those self-help techniques on yourself too.
